Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a Speech Language Pathology Assistant License (SLP/A) through the Department of Consumer Affairs or currently enrolled in 12 continuing education units from CSHA approved trainings and eligible to apply for SLP/A licensure.
• Graduation from an Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Associate of Arts degree program or equivalent course of study approved by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing student speech therapy services according to IEP goals and plans.
• Assist in assessment of student communication skills and progress.
• Attend IEP meetings for assigned students and present findings as approved.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and document student progress.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment for classroom use and adapt materials as needed.
