Job summary

Fargo Public Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant/Paraprofessional to support students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist. Responsibilities include screenings, implementing tasks, collecting progress data, and preparing materials.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and families, with a 9-month schedule and benefits eligibility. AND schedule notes Monday through Friday, 9-month term.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Speech-Language program with an Associate degree.
• Must have or have the ability to obtain a certificate of completion in speech-language pathology issued by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction, Office of Special Education.
• Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
• Basic academic and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students to carry out the speech curriculum.
• Collect and record relevant data regarding student progress.
• Assist in the collection of teacher requests, comments and test information.
• Assist the speech/language pathologist with adaptations/modifications.
• Maintain current knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology practices and trends.
