Job summary

Word Therapy, LLC is hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide speech and language services in Sarasota County Schools.

As a 1099 independent contractor, you will work within a school-based setting, collaborating with teachers, ESE staff, families, and other professionals. The role follows a school-year schedule with flexible hours to fit district needs, offering meaningful work and opportunities to grow your caseload within a growing local therapy practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Florida SLP license or eligibility for Florida licensure.
• CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable.
• Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy to students in assigned schools.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies.
• Monitor student progress and maintain timely documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other professionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team meetings as required.
