Job summary

Word Therapy, LLC is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide school-based services in Sarasota County Schools under a 1099 independent contractor arrangement.

You will work with students, collaborate with teachers, ESE staff, families, and other professionals, and support a school-year schedule with flexible hours. Join our growing team and help children develop essential communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Florida SLP license or eligibility for Florida licensure.
• CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable.
• Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy to students in assigned schools.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies.
• Monitor student progress and maintain timely documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other professionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team meetings as required.
