Job summary

Davidson County Schools at Hasty Elementary in Thomasville, NC seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a permanent role with benefits, starting 08/10/2026. You will provide prevention, assessment and remediation services for students with language, speech, voice, and fluency needs to support their educational goals.

Collaborate with teachers and school psychologists, schedule interventions, maintain records, conduct screenings and assessments, and present data to IEP teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Eligible for NC Licensure.
• Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CFY/SY available).

Responsibilities

• Organize a program that addresses local school speech-language goals.
• Schedule interventions using a variety of service delivery models, including comprehensive services.
• Collaborate with school personnel, such as teachers and psychologists, to meet student needs.
• Maintain records of the speech-language program and prepare periodic reports.
• Conduct speech, language and hearing screenings and assessments.
• Present and explain data to IEP Team.
• Provide information on speech, language and hearing programs.
• Supervise interns, paraprofessionals, volunteers and other professionals where appropriate.
