Qualifications

• Illinois School Board of Education Licensure as a Speech Pathologist / Speech Language Therapist
• Certified classification; FLSA Exempt
• Desirable ability to screen, identify, assess, and treat speech and language disorders

Responsibilities

• Assesses students' communication skills to identify disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborates with teachers, families, and staff to coordinate services.
• Coordinates meetings to present evaluation results and develop treatment plans.
• Instructs support staff on use of assistive devices and prescribed treatments.
• Instructs students in communication technologies to support education.
• Interprets medical reports to ensure appropriate treatment goals.
• Maintains files and records for compliance and reference.
