Job summary

Culpeper County Public Schools is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for the Culpeper, Virginia area. The SLP will evaluate and treat students with communication needs, conduct screenings and testing, and participate in IEP development and eligibility meetings.

Responsibilities include providing therapy, maintaining records, and collaborating with parents and school staff to support student success. A CCC-SLP and Virginia state licensure are required or in process.

Qualifications

• Master's in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA required or eligible for CC-SSP.
• Virginia Department of Health Professions license in Speech Language Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mass speech/language screening for new students.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and hearing screenings.
• Participate in child-study and eligibility meetings; develop IEP goals.
• Provide speech therapy services to eligible students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP goals; report progress timely.
• Provide Medicaid documentation required for reimbursement.
• Communicate effectively with parents, general education teachers, and special education staff.
