Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapeutic services under supervision. The role involves screening, evaluating, developing and implementing speech-language provisions of the educational program for students in CMS facilities.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating individualized intervention plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with state and district reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech pathology required.
• NCBOESLPA license required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws and policies.
• Administer and evaluate hearing or speech/language test results and plan treatment.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
• Develop and implement speech language intervention plans and IEPs.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and students to support therapy goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by district and state.
