Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support students under moderate supervision within a 10-month school calendar. The role involves evaluating, developing, and implementing speech-language therapy plans, and collaborating with principals and program managers to align services with educational goals.

The position requires a Master’s in Speech Pathology and NC licensure, with experience in diverse student needs, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech pathology required.
• NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Speech Language-Pathologist Standards.
• Administer and/or evaluate hearing or speech and language test results, to diagnose and plan treatment.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
• Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language.
• Compile results into comprehensive written reports reflecting student participation.
