Job description

The Reading & Language Learning Center (RLLC), a private speech-language therapy practice, is seeking a DC-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to provide school-based speech-language therapy services at one of our DC Public Charter School partner locations beginning in Fall 2026 (late August/early September start).

Full-time candidates are strongly preferred, though part-time applicants with relevant school-based experience may also be considered.

This position offers the consistency of a school-day schedule while allowing clinicians to work within a smaller, collaborative private practice model rather than as a direct school employee. Clinicians are supported by the broader RLLC team while providing services within the school setting.

We are seeking clinicians interested in stable school-year roles with anticipated continuation into future academic years based on school partnership needs.

  • In-person role at a DC Public Charter School partner location
  • Anticipated start: Late August / Early September 2026
  • Monday through Friday, school-day hours
  • School-year position with anticipated renewal for future academic years
  • Limited CSY (extended school year) hours may be available in summer based on student need, but are not guaranteed
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and complete reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
  • Maintain school-based documentation and progress notes
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
Qualifications
  • Active Washington, DC Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Prior school-based experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills
