Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–12 students in the Puyallup, WA area for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves evaluating speech, language, fluency, voice, and social-communication, and providing individualized or small-group therapy to help students access education and reach their full potential.

You will develop and monitor goals, document services, and contribute to IEPs and multidisciplinary meetings while supporting AAC systems and tools

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders.
  • Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (DOH) license and ESA Certification.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP or qualifying clinical fellowship status.
  • Successful completion of background checks and applicable state/district requirements.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred.

Position Overview
  • Conduct speech, language, fluency, voice, and social-communication evaluations and provide individualized or small-group therapy for K–12 students.
  • Develop and monitor communication goals, maintain accurate service documentation, and contribute to IEPs and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Evaluate and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other communication tools for students with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and support student success.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (DOH) license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or qualifying clinical fellowship status
  • Successful completion of required background checks and applicable state/district employment requirements
  • Previous school-based experience preferred

Note: Out-of-state candidates must meet applicable reciprocity or temporary credential requirements.
