Job summary

LEARN Academy in Tempe, AZ is seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support students with communication needs. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, assist the SLP with screenings, plan and monitor goals, and document progress toward IEP objectives in educational settings.

This is a full-time, temporary position with competitive compensation and benefits, aimed at supporting student success and evidence-based practice in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or equivalent.
• Experience assisting SLPs in school settings is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SLP in screenings using established protocols.
• Implement therapy activities aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech-language strategies.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment for classroom use.
• Document student progress toward objectives and report to the SLP.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Organize classroom activities and materials for learning.
• Support MTSS/RTI initiatives under SLP guidance.
• Utilize assistive technology as directed.
