This role focuses on providing essential social work services for a 4th and 5th grade school building with approximately 195 students, including a caseload of about 15 students receiving special education services. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to promote student well-being and provide targeted support for those who need it most.

Key Qualifications:

• Michigan state social work license (LARA) required
• Approval for school social work practice through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
• Experience working within schools or with elementary students preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Ability to manage confidential student information with sensitivity and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support at-risk students in overcoming barriers to success
• Facilitate small group interventions and implement restorative practices where needed
