Job summary

The Manchester School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at Parkside Middle School in Manchester, New Hampshire. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to support students with speech-language needs.

The position requires an SLPA license in New Hampshire and an associate degree or higher. Prior school-based experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required to support on-site visits and transportation needs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in speech-language pathology, communications sciences and disorders, or communications disorders from an accredited program.
• Current and valid speech language pathology assistant (SLPA) license issued by the State of New Hampshire.
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Experience implementing therapy under the direction of a licensed SLP or NH specialist.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist speech-language pathologists in screenings and assessments (no clinical interpretation).
• Follow documented treatment plans/IEPs under the supervising professional.
• Provide direct speech language therapy services to students per IEP goals.
• Assist with individualized strategies, accommodations and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports.
• Assist with Medicaid billing.
