Job summary

Soliant in Tacoma, WA is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join the school-based team. The full-time role (32.5 hours/week) supports SLP-directed therapy for students and works with the supervising SLP and school staff to promote communication development.

Responsibilities include direct therapy, implementing plans, collaborating with teachers and families, documenting progress, and participating in IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in SLPA or CSD or related field.
• Valid Washington State SLPA credential or eligibility to obtain.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy under supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement treatment plans and goals developed by the supervising SLP.
• Support articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and social communication needs.
• Assist with AAC implementation and other communication strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and education team.
• Document therapy sessions and student progress.
• Monitor student progress with supervising SLP.
• Participate in IEP meetings and MDT discussions as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with state requirements.
• Create a positive, student-centered therapy environment.
