Job summary

Boston Speech Therapy, a local woman-SLP-owned company in Boston, seeks a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA reports to the SLP and will work primarily with the SLP for service-related needs.

The role involves implementing therapy activities, delivering individual and small-group services, and maintaining progress records.

Qualifications

• Current state certification or licensure as an SLPA.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth in the field.
• Must pass the ASHA Assistants Certification Exam and meet credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech and language therapy activities under supervision.

• Maintain records of student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Prepare therapy materials, activities, and instructional resources.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
• Support AAC systems under SLP supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply with regulations.
