An educational institution is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its special education team. The SLP will provide therapy services to help students develop essential communication skills for academic success. Qualifications
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Maine.
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CF candidates encouraged to apply).
Experience working with children, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the IEP process.
Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication development.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and small group speech and language therapy services.
Address articulation, language development, social communication, fluency, and voice needs.
Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP development.
Collaborate with teachers and teams.
Provide strategies and supports for classroom implementation.
Support development of social communication and peer interaction skills.
Train and support ed techs and staff.
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans.
Maintain documentation and support MaineCare billing.
