Job summary

An educational institution is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its special education team. The SLP will provide therapy services to help students develop essential communication skills for academic success. Qualifications

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Maine.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CF candidates encouraged to apply).
  • Experience working with children, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
  • Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the IEP process.
  • Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small group speech and language therapy services.
  • Address articulation, language development, social communication, fluency, and voice needs.
  • Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and teams.
  • Provide strategies and supports for classroom implementation.
  • Support development of social communication and peer interaction skills.
  • Train and support ed techs and staff.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans.
  • Maintain documentation and support MaineCare billing.
