Job summary

BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a temporary school-based assignment from December 1, 2026 through June 1, 2027.

The SLP will conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide clinical supervision for up to two SLPAs in self-contained classrooms across Pre-K to junior high. The ideal candidate holds a Master's in SLP, an active Illinois license, and an Illinois PEL with endorsement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Current Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License (PEL) with an appropriate endorsement required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Previous experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants required.
• Experience with AAC assessment, intervention, and implementation required.
• Experience conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations within school-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students in self-contained Pre-K to junior high classrooms.
• Provide supervision for up to two SLPAs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary evaluations.
• Complete evaluation reports, eligibility documents, and recommendations within timelines.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support communication needs.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with district policies and regulations.
