Job summary

Gersh Academy in Bronx, NY seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide school-based speech therapy for children ages 5-21. The role includes collaboration with other disciplines, reviewing outcomes, and adapting intervention programs to meet individual IFSP/IEP goals.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, NY license, TSSLD preferred, and PROMPT experience preferred. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–3:30 PM onsite, with potential travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
• Must have current NY license.
• TSSLD certification preferred.
• PROMPT Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy/evaluations for language, auditory processing disorder, articulation, and voice fluency.
• Work with children who have autism.
• Write evaluations and progress reports.
• Consult and collaborate with parents, schoolteachers, and fellow colleagues.
• In compliance with state and local requirements, maintain documentation regarding student services and needs.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and services at departmental and system levels.
