Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an interpreter training program from an accredited institution with two years of professional interpreting experience.
  • Licensure as required by the governing board (GS 90D) where applicable.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may apply per policy.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret for school meetings including IEPs, staffing, and health meetings to ensure access to information.
  • Provide sign language interpretation for Deaf Administrators and Department Heads daily.
  • Interpret in classrooms for mainstreamed students and share sign language orientation with new employees.
