Job summary

Saint Mark Catholic School seeks a compassionate and skilled SEL Specialist to support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This role will implement behavior intervention plans, teach self-regulation and social skills, and monitor progress.

You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment and respond to crises with de-escalation techniques. A bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, Social Work or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting student behavior in an educational setting.
• Experience with behavior intervention, IEP implementation, and data collection.
• Master's degree and CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Collect and analyze behavioral data to track student progress.
• Teach self-regulation, coping, communication, and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and the school social worker.
• Respond to behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques.
• Provide behavioral support and classroom management strategies to staff.
