Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking dedicated individuals to support children with Autism in Hawaii Island School Districts. You will work 1:1 with students, following an established service plan, while BAYADA provides training and supervision.

An RBT credential is required or candidates may pursue it with BAYADA support. Flexible part-time shifts available, typically weekdays between 7:30am and 2:30pm, in your local Hawaii neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• RBT certification or the desire to pursue certification (Training provided by BAYADA)
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Experience with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, but not required
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR passage of the ParaPro Praxis Assessment (BAYADA assistance available)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams, respecting values and beliefs
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
• Document interventions and progress towards goals
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
• Support the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
• Support school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
