Job summary

Plumsted Township School District in New Jersey seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one behavioral interventions for students at New Egypt Primary School. The RBT will implement ABA-based strategies under supervision to support communication, social skills, and reduce challenging behaviors.

Qualified candidates must hold a current BACB RBT certification, maintain crisis prevention certification, and communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (BACB).
• Must hold (or obtain) and maintain a crisis prevention certification.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with children with behavior concerns preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Required to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Follow District Policies and Procedure guidelines.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with students.
• Follow prescribed behavior acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
• Promote replacement behaviors and social interaction skills.
• Track and record behavior data (A-B-C, frequency, duration, latency).
• Collaborate with CST and supervise BCBA for treatment planning.
