Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work with a collaborative school team in Norwalk, CT. You will support K–12 students to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

You will implement individualized therapy plans, document progress, and collaborate with therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enable student participation in the school environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Valid Connecticut PTA license.
• School-based experience preferred; strong communication and collaboration with K–12 students.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy support to K–12 students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist with implementing individualized therapy plans and exercises designed to improve students’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional skills.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and participation in the school environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress while following applicable professional and school-based standards.
