Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a School-Based Physical Therapist to support elementary through transition programs in the Romeoville, IL area. This is a full-time contract (37.5 hours/week, with some flexibility for part-time) running now through June 7, 2027, with start times between 7:30 and 8:30am.

You'll travel between school sites delivering direct therapy and consultative services, managing a caseload of 35–45 students, and collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT).
• Current Illinois PT License.
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and across settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to identify student needs.
• Plan, implement, and adjust individualized therapy interventions and programs.
• Train staff and students on effective use of positioning and mobility equipment.
• Travel between school sites to provide consistent, high-quality services.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary educational team.
• Produce timely and comprehensive documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and goal updates.
