Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Illinois is seeking a contract-school Physical Therapist to provide services during short-term leave coverage (8/17–11/4) for special education students across mixed grade levels, with emphasis on Transition-aged individuals. The position is onsite, 37.5 hours per week, to help students acquire or compensate for gross motor deficits.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to implement IEP goals, document progress, and tailor therapy plans to support

Qualifications

• Active Illinois PT licensure.
• Pediatric experience in school settings.
• Experience working with diverse student caseloads.
• Experience with Transition-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy to students with special needs and contribute to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with educators, school teams, and families to support student participation.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans and progress.
• Assess gross motor skills and create strategies to foster development or compensation.
• Support students as they navigate academic and functional transitions.
