Job summary

MAB Community Services invites applications for a full-time school-based nursing position at Ivy Street School in Brookline, MA. This in-person role supports student health, medication administration, and care coordination within a transition-focused program.

The ideal candidate holds MA nursing licensure, a clean driving record, CPR/CPI certifications, and experience in inpatient psychiatry or with youth with disabilities. Expect evening rotation once weekly and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts nursing license required.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and CPI certifications ( trainings offered ).
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry, therapeutic school, or work with autism/youth with disabilities preferred.
• Experience with case management and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Order, administer, and manage medications and controlled substances through an off-ground partnered pharmacy.
• Monitor student medication changes and side effects.
• Assist with case management and care coordination between students’ outside care team through appointment planning and organization.
• Monitor students’ overall wellness and follow up on implemented care plans.
• Provide health education and act as a liaison with community physicians and health care providers.
• Monitor and prepare medications for off-ground trips and home visits.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing and clinicians about health concerns and medical incidents.
• Provide transportation and attend appointments when necessary.
• Maintain general office inventory and upkeep.
• Support students in planning and preparing for appointments.
• Provide student and staff medication training when necessary.
• May provide orientation and in-service trainings for the clinical team.
• Hold a late-night shift once a week (until 6:30pm).
• Offer case consultation and trainings to staff.
