STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: Red Jacket Schools- 1506 State Rte 21, Shortsville, NY 14548DEPARTMENT: School TherapySCHEDULE: 8a-4p, 7:30a-3:30p (hours vary based upon school operating hours)Position Summary:The primary therapist provides mental health diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and mental health therapies for persons with mental illness. Treatment is provided in the context of a clinical team, supervised by the staff psychiatrist. Provide superior customer service.Key Responsibilities:• Provides initial and ongoing assessment, counseling and clinical intervention to a designated caseload.• Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy.• Participates functionally as a member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care.• Communicates with relevant internal and external care providers to complete ongoing assessment and to coordinate care.• Participates in and incorporates professional supervision and ongoing education toward quality care.• Completes all required documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner.• Maintains a full caseload, meeting productivity requirements and seeks to keep the incidence of failed appointments to a minimum.• Utilizes efficient computer skills for electronic documentation.• Must obtain licensure or permit in a timely manner.• Off-site and in-home delivery of services to clients and families.Desired Attributes:• Compassionate, warm and patient focused.• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.• Ability to multitask, plan and balance multiple responsibilities.• Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.Minimum Qualifications:• Masters Degree in Human Services field required.New Graduates:• Official transcript from accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school’s registrar’s office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation.• Primary source education verification required within 90 days of start date.Required Licensure/Certification:• LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT license or permit required within 1 year of hireEDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Drive - Clinical - Roles in this category require frequent driving combined with mobile clinical care across settings such as emergency response, mobile clinics, and home health environments. Staff must repeatedly enter and exit vehicles, occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. or more, and perform care within patients’ homes or other confined, unpredictable, or uncontrolled environments. These positions demand strong fine and gross motor control, firm grasping, and heightened visual and auditory awareness to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial due to rapid decision‑making, direct exposure to critical or sensitive situations, and independently managing patient care in the field or home setting. Environmental exposures may include traffic hazards, infectious agents, extreme temperatures, variable home conditions, and hazardous materials. Valid licensure, physical readiness, and flexibility for extended or on‑call schedules are typically required.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee’s physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.PAY RANGE:$53,310.00 - $67,700.00CITY:RochesterPOSTAL CODE:14607The posted pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for this position. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE.
