Westchester School For Special Chil is seeking an Experienced Physical Therapist to develop and implement the school PT program at our North Salem campus. You will participate as part of the Clinical Team to coordinate interdisciplinary efforts and to provide therapy services to students in individual or small group settings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, NY license, and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifikationen

• Must have completed at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an approved school.
• Hold a current New York State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement the school Physical Therapy Program.
• Participate as a member of the Clinical Team to coordinate interdisciplinary efforts.
• Conduct evaluations to determine developmental levels, ROM, muscle testing, ADL needs, gait, and balance.
• Provide therapy services individually or in small groups per the student’s IEP.
• Maintain student records including attendance, IEP information, initiation and discharge summaries.
• Consult with school personnel and physicians regarding program and equipment recommendations.
• Conduct trainings and in-service programs for students, staff, and parents.
• Re-evaluate students at least every three years and provide written progress reports.
