Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, access the educational environment, and achieve greater independence.

You will evaluate needs, communicate findings to families and district staff, and collaborate with IEP teams to design evidence-based interventions. We offer flexible schedules, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities in a supportive, mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Active License by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate needs using standardized tools to determine the need for specialized services per Texas standards.
  • Communicate findings to parents, educators, and district personnel with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop interventions with the IEP team that address student needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy or supervise PTAs in implementing IEP goals.
  • Monitor progress by collecting and documenting data for IEP reviews and service planning.
  • Support ARD meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Your Role:

As a school-basedPhysical Therapist, you’ll play a key role in helping students improve their mobility, access their educational environment, and achieve greater independence. Your responsibilities will include:

Evaluate Needs:Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tools, observations, and student-centered assessments to determine the need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.

Communicate Findings:Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel, offering clear, actionable recommendations that promote students’ access to education and functional independence.

Develop Interventions:Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to design evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions that address student-specific needs, support functional goals, and enhance participation in the educational environment.

Provide Therapy:Deliver direct therapy services or supervise licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in implementing IEP goals.

Monitor Progress:Collect, analyze, and document student progress data, maintaining detailed and accurate records that inform IEP reviews and ongoing service planning.

Support Teams:Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and contribute to the enhancement of special education programs.
