Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) in La Plata, MD to provide individualized therapy and collaborate with school teams and families to support students’ mobility, independence, and success.

The role involves conducting formal and informal assessments for Pre-K–12 students, developing therapy goals via IEP/IFSP, and coordinating with educators, families, and related-service providers to promote participation and learning.

Qualifications

• DPT required and Maryland PT license valid for practice.
• Experience with school-based evaluations and IEP/IFSP development is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and related-service providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal and informal assessments for Pre-K–12 students focusing on gross motor development and functional mobility.
• Create and implement therapy goals and services through IEP/IFSP processes, including equipment recommendations.
• Collaborate with educators, families, related-service providers, and medical professionals to support student participation and learning.
• Complete therapy documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing within timelines.
