Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our school-based team in Bunnell, FL. This full-time opportunity supports students to improve mobility, independence, and participation in education under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address diverse physical needs and help students achieve educational and developmental goals, with competitive compensation and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Florida PTA license is required.
• Experience with children or adolescents is preferred.
• School-based experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide direct PTA services to students in individual and group settings.
• Assist students in developing mobility, strength, balance and functional skills.
• Document student progress and treatment activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, teachers, families and school staff.
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and mobility devices.
• Maintain compliance with school, district and state requirements.
