Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Joliet, IL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time, school-based role to help students improve mobility, independence, and participation in lessons through individualized therapy and collaboration with educators.

You will conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans, work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain progress notes while supporting student success in a caring team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• School-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct physical therapy services in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to support student success
• Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as needed
