Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of pediatric practice experience preferred.
• Experience with school-based physical therapy is desirable.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate a school-based physical therapy program.
• Provide screening, evaluation and intervention for preschool and school-age students.
• Interpret and report evaluation findings to staff and families.
• Analyze risk, problem solve and exercise professional judgment in service decisions.
• Modify environments and train staff to meet students' physical needs.
• Provide direct and consultative services for preschool and school-age students.
• Communicate with staff, parents, administrators, physicians and other professionals.
• Collaborate on a multidisciplinary team for preschool and school-age students.
• Address equipment needs and write letters of medical necessity.
• Coordinate with community therapists for service delivery.
• Assist in planning safe transportation for students with disabilities.
• Participate in staff meetings and ensure compliance with FERPA and PT Act.
