Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our school-based, full-time team in Riverside, CA. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support students in developing functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills needed for classroom success.

In this role, you’ll help students achieve greater independence, document therapy progress, and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote active

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies.
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
