Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ seeks a School Services Occupational Therapist to support students' academic participation through school-based OT.

The role involves evaluations, IEP collaboration, interdisciplinary teamwork, and ensuring compliance with district policies; requires NJ OT license and NJ School Certification; full-time 37.5 hours/week; salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted New Jersey OT license.
• New Jersey School Certification required.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.
• Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) and travel between locations.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and school-based evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive school-based occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Develop individualized intervention plans to support student participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to develop IEPs.
• Provide consultation and training to school personnel on therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain timely documentation and records.
• Supervise OT fieldwork students when applicable.
• Meet productivity expectations and contribute to student outcomes.
