Virtua Health is seeking a pediatric occupational therapist to provide educationally based OT services within a school setting in Barrington, New Jersey. The role involves evaluations, treatments, and collaboration with teachers to support students’ IEP goals.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in OT, NJ state licensure, CPR certification, and NJ DoE school certification. Per diem, part‑time hours, and on‑site work are expected, with flexible scheduling to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• Educationally based pediatric experience preferred.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an AOTA‑accredited program.
• Current NJ state licensure and CPR certification.
• School certification by the NJ Department of Education
• Per diem employment with part‑time schedule as needed

Responsibilities

• Provides educationally based OT evaluations and treatments in the educational setting.
• Collaborates with the school district’s child study teams and teachers to align services with IEPs.
• Maintains timely, thorough documentation in accordance with regulations.
• Communicates with CST staff, family, and therapists to optimize patient care.
• Attends school team and IEP meetings; adjusts schedule to minimize impact on student treatment time.
