Job summary

Qualifications

• AS degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant with MA licensure and NBCOT certification.
• Strong conflict management and dispute resolution skills.
• Ability to identify and solve problems by prioritizing needs and planning.
• Ability to plan, set, and implement schedules to complete daily tasks.
• Experience with verbal and physical crisis intervention techniques (CPI).
• Compliance with student confidentiality regulations (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services in our children's program as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Follow treatment protocols prescribed by OTR/L and seek clarification as needed.
• Contribute to intervention plans and select meaningful activities.
• Modify activities to align with goals and school-based model.
• Maintain a predictable OT service schedule per IEP.
• Collect data, document results daily, and write concise reports.
• Provide behavioral reinforcement aligned with developmental level and plan.
• Model strategies for staff to support student performance.
• Consult with classroom/residential staff on OT integration.
• Attend and contribute to student meetings as part of the educational team.
