Job summary

Community Health & Wellness Center (CHWC) in Torrington, CT seeks a Pediatric/Family Nurse Practitioner for a school-based program. The APRN will provide pediatric primary care in collaboration with a physician, within state laws and clinic procedures.

The role is 30 hours per week, 9:00 am–3:00 pm, September through June, serving the Torrington Schools. Requires a Master’s degree in nursing, NP certification, Connecticut APRN license, and CPR.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and completion of an accredited certified nurse practitioner program.
• APRN license and Connecticut board certification are required.
• CPR certification and licensure as APRN are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care within the NP scope of practice.
• Assess illnesses, record medical history, perform exams, and order tests.
• Collaborate with physicians and other staff to develop care plans.
• Participate in professional practice, quality improvement, and meetings.
