Job summary

Interim Healthcare of Chester County is seeking a School Based Paraprofessional to support students with special needs in Chester County, PA. This role focuses on 1-on-1 or small group academic and behavioral assistance, under teacher supervision.

You will help implement IEP goals, monitor classroom behavior, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment while assisting with daily activities and data collection.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom setting, following student’s IEPs.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Reliable transportation and commitment to consistent school day shifts.
• Ability to attend in-person or online training as required.
• Smartphone with time-clock app capability.

What You’ll Do as a School Based Paraprofessional

• Provide direct academic and behavioral support to students with special needs, working 1-on-1 with a student or with small student groups
• Implement IEP goals and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher supervision
• Monitor student behavior during class, transitions, lunch, and recess
• Support a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
• Maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment during challenging moments
• Assist students with daily living, transitions, and personal care routines as needed
• Collect, track, and record daily behavioral and academic progress data, per school requirement
