Job summary

The Burlington School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join the Student Support Services team in Burlington, Vermont. You will work with Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality OT services that help students access education and achieve IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Vermont OT licensure (or eligibility) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Collaborate with OTs, educators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Assist with occupational therapy screenings and evaluations.
• Implement interventions to develop fine motor, visual motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology to meet student needs.
• Monitor progress and complete required reports and progress notes.
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration across the district.
