Qualifications

• Certification obtained from an accredited 2- or 4-year program in a specialized area.
• Must communicate well orally and in written form.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student needs and provide written recommendations for further evaluation.
• Plan, develop, and implement program goals and activities.
• Instruct, supervise, monitor, and assess students in the program while maintaining appropriate student behaviors and social skills.
• Document student progress, prepare reports, and maintain Medicaid and student data sheets as requested.
• Maintain ongoing communication with school personnel and community service personnel.
• Follow state and federal laws and local policies and procedures in the area of educational requirements and program operations.
• Attend staff, I.E.P, parent, and other meetings as required.
• Maintain program equipment and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
