Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Garden Grove, CA seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our full-time school-based team. You will implement treatment plans, provide direct OT services to students, and support fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills in classroom settings.

Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to track progress and ensure compliance with district guidelines while promoting student independence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Current NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
