Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our full-time school-based team in Temple City, CA. You will support students in developing functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills for classroom success and daily activities.

Under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help students achieve independence and participate in their educational environment, collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies.
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
