Job summary

Soliant is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support Salem-area schools in both onsite and teletherapy settings. You will apply your expertise in fine and gross motor development to empower students within IEPs, collaborating with educators, parents, and specialists to tailor interventions.

The role emphasizes evidence-based OT services, comprehensive assessments, and individualized therapy plans, with documentation and participation in IEP meetings as core duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license and certification required.
• Experience in school-based settings, including teletherapy and onsite services.
• Proficiency in fine and gross motor skill assessment and development.
• Familiarity with working alongside Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate as part of an educational multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based OT services to students according to IEP plans.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and address student needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic and functional growth.
• Adapt and modify materials or classroom environments to promote student participation.
• Coach and consult with teachers and support staff for integrated student interventions.
• Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based student plans.
