Job summary

Powerback Pediatrics is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist to serve students aged 3–21 in the greater Chicago area. You will implement functional treatment plans, collaborate with teachers, SLPs, PTs, and other staff, and document progress for IEPs.

Qualifications

• ACOTE‑accredited OT degree required.
• Initial NBCOT certification required.
• Current state OT license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans with functional, measurable outcomes for IEPs.
• Consults with teachers, SLP, PT, PCP, and other professionals to ensure cohesive therapy.
• Assesses and documents progress with formal and informal assessments.
• Prepares annual review reports and goals aligned with IEP dates/requirements.
• Attends school-related meetings (IEP, annual reviews, domains, referrals).
• Provides screenings and evaluations to determine OT intervention needs within the school setting (ADL, motor skills, positioning, equipment, executive function, self-regulation).
