Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel in Columbia, SC, seeks a local contract Occupational Therapist for a school-based assignment. The OT will develop IEP goals, deliver direct and consultative services, and collaborate with the IEP team to support students.

The role requires a Master’s in OT and SC licensure, with experience in educational settings preferred. Part-time schedule of 8 hours per week during school days is available, with a focus on independence and family collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Carolina.
• Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEP goals and objectives with the IEP team.
• Provide OT services per students' IEPs.
• Develop RTI plans and deliver services.
• Support students in fine motor, sensory regulation, visual-motor integration, self-care, and organizational skills.
• Adapt learning environment and materials for access.
• Provide training to teachers, paras, and families.
• Maintain documentation including evaluation reports, progress notes, service logs, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
• Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504 and related laws.
