Job summary

Soliant is seeking a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Hamtramck, MI area to support student growth across multiple sites. The role involves a 32.5-hour weekly schedule and serves a caseload of 30–40 students, collaborating with educational teams to implement OT services within classroom routines.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans, and participate in IEP processes to optimize student participation and progress in a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid OT license for practice in Michigan.
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload—no COTA supervision available.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to fostering student independence, participation, and success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for PreK–12 students.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans centered on students’ educational needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to integrate OT strategies within classroom routines.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting support as needed.
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student accommodations.
• Provide training and consultation to staff to best support students’ participation and progress.
• Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state guidelines.
