Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Owings, MD is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist for two full-time positions and a maternity-leave coverage role (August 2026 to January 2027) within Calvert County Public Schools. Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families and school staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Commitment to culturally competent, student-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine OT needs and develop individualized plans.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor, sensory processing and functional independence.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school-based team to support classroom participation.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate parents, teachers and staff on strategies to enhance fine motor and sensory regulation.
• Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports and billing documentation.
• Stay current with pediatric OT research and best practices.
• Participate in IEP and team meetings and school-based PD opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards in schools.
