Job summary

YAI is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT services in New York. You will work with students to implement individualized goals from IEPs, design adaptive interventions, and document progress for ongoing supervision.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and medical professionals to support participation in academics, play, self-care and daily routines. A NYSED Limited Permit is required, with strong organizational skills and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Valid Limited Permit to practice Occupational Therapy issued by NYSED.
• Well organized with superior attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Work with a high degree of self-direction and focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties under appropriate supervision as required by NYSED Office of the Professions and directed by supervising OT.
• Provides school-based occupational therapy services to assigned caseload aligned with goals and IEPs.
• Develops and implements safe, appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Assesses, recommends, and intervenes in school-based areas of occupation; updates therapy goals as needed.
• Evaluates progress and documents services per organization policies and communicates with caregivers.
